I Passed!

Yes! I passed my drug test. (you surprised?) The drug test man didn't like me much, he wanted to go ride in his friends porsche, unfortunately for him i was there (hehehe sucker). Anyway, so after I passed, I celebrated by buying my conductor overalls. They're a beauty. Funnily enough I had bought a conductor hat about a year ago from the DI. Fate? I think so. :) Took Oula to her dog training class tonight, she is by far the smartest of the bunch. I'm just so darn proud! *sniff* Happy St Patties day ya'll!Add Image

(I look way cuter in my overalls than this bear)

RMOD (Random Movie of the Day)

The Shawshank Redemption - R 1994

SYNOPSIS: Okay, if you don't know what the Shawshank Redemption is about you need to get out of that hole you've been living in. Then again, I just barely got around to seeing it, so... nevermind. :) Basically two imprisoned men bond over a number of years, finding solace and eventual redemption through acts of common decency.

WHAT I THOUGHT: So I'm terribly upset I hadn't seen this piece of juicy movie goodness until now. And I call myself a movie fanatic? Well I'm so very happy I've seen it now. It's just brilliant, all away around. As I'm sure most of you know! If you haven't seen it, seriously, what's up with that? Go see it! Now. Go!

Best part of the movie: Cutest old man Brooks. He was my fave. " Easy peasy Japanesey!" I'm definitely going to start saying that from now on.

Choo Choo!

Choo Choo!
I had my first "real" day at work today! For those of you who don't know, I work at Utah's Hogle Zoo. Today I trained as a gate cashier, but at th
e end of the day my boss notified me that a position was opened as the train conductor. So, naturally, I switched! So now I get to wear super cool pinstriped overalls and drive the Zoofari Express! Yup, it's awesome. You should all stop by and visit :) Tomorrow I get to take my first drug test, isn't that exciting!?! :D

RMOD (Random Movie of the Day)
"Better Off Dead" - PG 1985
Synopsis: Lane (John Cusack) is obsessed with his girlfriend Beth and is crushed when she falls for the new captain of the ski team, Roy. After several failed suicide attempts, narrow escapes from the relentless paper boy, and nearly unbearable dinners at home with his crazy family,
Lane finds a new love in French exchange student Monique Junot. Meanwhile, he must beat Roy on the slopes to regain his honor.
My Thoughts: Oh man, this movie is a piece of work.
This has got to have some of the most random and incredibly hilarious scenes I've ever seen. From a hamburger singing Van Halen to a scary gang of paperboys. All the best comedy in this movie is pure situational, very little of it is from dialogue. It's brilliant! I bet this movie was a blast to film! If you haven't seen it, do so immediately. It's definitely worth it!
Best part of the movie: Creepy paperboy wants his two dollars. Cash.

I Promise!

Hey Ya'll, so this is the text version of my original blog, in case you need to copy and paste the text, search for the text, etc. I prefer the fancy one, but if you like this one, feel free to read it instead!

So I know I've been neglecting this here blog. BUT, the blog and I have had a long discussion. Things were thrown, feelings were hurt, but we came to an agreement. I promise to update this blog EVERY DAY. Excessive you say? Nay. No way. But why everyday you ask? Well, I have a new goal. Lately I have been trying to watch a random movie every day. I have decided that, after telling you about my AWESOME days in each post, I will also write a tiny review of my movie o' the day at the end. Hopefully you will enjoy this, and hopefully I can stay motivated to keep updating! Blog ya tomorrow. - Taylor

RMOD (Random Movie of the Day)
"Chances Are" -PG 1989
My first random movie of the day post! So I'm a total fan of Robert Downey, Jr. and I wanted to see him in a movie when he was younger. "Chances Are" was made in 1989 and totally reeks of 80s movie (aren't those fun.) The movie is about Louie, who gets hit by a car after
finding out he and his wife are pregnant. He is reborn as Alex Finch (Downey). He is fine until he starts dating Miranda - the daughter of Louie's widow, Corinne. Louie's memories are unleashed and everything goes haywire. It lives up to its Romantic Comedy genre, having some very absurd situations and sweet moments. The acting is good (especially by Downey :D) and I found the plot idea quite interesting! My only beef was the ending, which was way too... weird! (curious? go watch it!) If you enjoy A. Comedies, B. Romance, and C. Robert Downey, Jr. you will like "Chances Are" :)
